現在尾道市が運営しているおのみち映画資料館を、民間の手により東京物語記念館へと改修するための基本構想。日本そして尾道の文化遺産である「東京物語」を国内外に対し作品を発信する拠点とする計画。同時に国内外のファンを核にして作品の研究を進め、評価を更新する(日本文化、映像美学、普遍性のある哲学)ための施設として活用する。

A basic plan to renovate the Onomichi Film Museum, currently operated by Onomichi City, into the Tokyo Monogatari Memorial Hall under the hands of the private sector. The plan is to make “Tokyo Story,” a cultural heritage of Japan and Onomichi, into a base for disseminating the film both domestically and internationally. At the same time, it will be used as a facility to promote research and renew appreciation of the film (Japanese culture, visual aesthetics, and universal philosophy) with domestic and international fans at its core.
