「飛騨の家具」を作り出すメーカー等組合員25社で組織される飛騨木工連合会により毎年開催される「飛騨の家具®フェスティバル」のメインブースデザイン。（ディレクションは、飛騨の森でクマは踊るによる。）
本ブースは2024年のテーマ「心の豊かさ～こころ豊かに暮らす～」をもとに、また飛騨地域の伝統的な建築技術のひとつである「くれぶき」を用いたデザインとすることが求められた。
Main booth design for the Hida Furniture® Festival, held annually by the Hida Woodworking Association, an association of 25 companies that produce Hida furniture. Which is directed by Bear Dances in the Hidakuma. This booth was required to be designed based on the 2024 theme “Living with a Rich Heart” and using “kurebuki”, one of the traditional building techniques of the Hida region.
飛騨の森の広葉樹から大工の手作業によりつくられる「くれ板」。それは半榑や、長くれといた規格化された寸法に基づいて形成されるが、個々の木が持つ繊維の流れ、職人の手から伝わる力の違い、様々な要因によりその一枚一枚には異なる表情をみることができる。そうした細やかな「微差」が重なり合うことにより生まれる豊かな質を、デザインの構成要素として検討した。
"Kureita" is handcrafted by carpenters from hardwoods in the Hida forests. Although they are formed based on standardized dimensions, such as half or long, each piece of wood has a different expression due to various factors, such as the flow of the individual fibers and the force transmitted by the craftsman's hands. The rich quality created by the overlap of such minute “slight differences” was considered as a component of the design.
飛騨の森という資源をもとに生まれた家具。その伝統のはじまりは曲木の椅子といった、脚付家具にさかのぼる。切り出された木材は、様々な制作者の手を介して多様な形に変化する。メインブースを構成するカフェやつくり手市用の什器には各家具会社から提供いただいた「脚」を用いた。
The tradition of furniture making goes back to furniture with legs, such as the curved-wood chair. The wood cut from the trees is transformed into various forms through the hands of various craftsmen. Legs" provided by furniture companies were used for the fixtures for the café and the makers' market that make up the main booth.
